Hairdresser Jailed For Stealing 1000 GHDs

A TOP hairdresser has been jailed for 18 months for stealing almost a thousand pairs of GHD hair straighteners from an award-winning Edinburgh salon and selling them on eBay.
Mark McMorrine, 37, took the GHD hair irons from the Charlie Miller Hairdressing salon he managed in the Ocean Terminal shopping centre then made £62,000 by selling the stolen items online.McMorrine admitted selling irons and hairdressing product on the internet auction site ebay but said he had bought them from another source.But he failed to show any evidence of a legitimate supplier, and a jury found him guilty of theft and fraud after a three-week trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Spotting Fake GHD

Buying a fake electrical item is also very dangerous. The fake GHD hair straighteners have passed to EU safety tests and have been made with total disregard for safety. salons supporting Breakthrough Breast Cancer

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2007, hundreds of hairdressing salons throughout the UK turned pink in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and ghd’s Pink Campaign. According to Breakthrough Breast Cancer the money is still rolling in. This over 700 salons having raised over £150,000, which is absolutely fantastic. Hairdressing salons hosted a range of fundraising activities which included pink days, raffles, sponsored events, fancy dress, open evenings, leg waxing, pink cake sales and lots more. My own salon Moda Greco raised over £300 by styling nightclubbers har at a Leicester student event in exchange for donations.

Protecting Your Hair When Using GHD Stylers

Extreme heat from blow drying and straightening your hair can cause damage to the hair - resulting is breakage or a dull appearance. as a way of over coming this problem the people at GHD have developed the GHD Thermal Protector (please note this replaced the old GHD iron oil).

The GHD Thermal Protector is a heat protection spray, which is specially designed to nourish and strengthen hair and guard against damage, which can be caused by regular heat styling.

The spray is specially formulated to deflect and absorb heat, protecting the hair shaft and also protects against UVA.
